Question
« on: January 20, 2016, 09:03:09 am »
So in my nation we have mandatory military service. In which case I feel like we would be more like Isreal which has about a 2% military rate instead of the 1% rate in the spreadsheet. So, I was wondering if I could have 1.5% military rate. I do understand though if this is denied for fear of abuse (though thats not why I want it). So, if it is allowed thanks, if not I understand and I'll just say something like less people decide to stay in the military or something like that in my factbook.

It's ultimately PBA's decision.

Bear with me here. At first I was leaning towards yes, after all I already have in my factbook, if you look, that I have a draft system also. However, then it occurred to me that what very well might happen is that if we allow that then everyone will go, "Oh, look, I can get more troops with a draft." Then everyone will be at 1.5% so in the end it won't really be any different than everyone being at 1%.

I can definitely see that, can I be less than one percent? I can't imagine my army expanding too much even if my population expands.

What the spreadsheet mostly does is allow you to "buy" equipment. So just "budget out" the amount of forces you actually want and never adjust your population. It should stay stagnant that way. Follow me?
