Format for posting a map poll

OK, let's get some organization to the map polls.   8)

First a little FAQ

What is the purpose of the map polls?  The purpose of the map polls is to prevent over expansion of nations through a democratic process. Yes, I could simply say no to expansions, but then I would come off as an autocratic prick, and I don't want that image.  :P A secondary purpose is to assure the quality of the roleplays that are being done for these expansions. While we don't expect these roleplays to be War & Peace or Macbeth we do expect a little bit of effort to be put into them. Roleplays that are essentially, "I land 50,000 troops. Resistance is light, I lose 5000 troops. The area surrenders.", simply won't cut it. I fully expect these to be rejected.

Are map polls an in character or out of character activity? The map polls are a purely out of character activity.

What should be considered when voting? Always bear in mind that in order to keep the region thriving we need to keep recruiting. Therefore we need to keep some space on the map open for the new recruits who make it to the forum. Yes, there is a process in place for removing inactive members but we need to make sure a few nations don't gobble up the majority of the map. So the things to be considered when voting are
 • How much land does the expanding nation already hold
 • How much open area is left on the map
 • Is the RP in question of sufficient quality to reward it

Form

Please follow the following format when making a map poll and add anything else that you think should be considered afterward.

Code: [Select]
Name of nation making request:
Areas being requested:
Link to RP:

Map polls will stay up for two days (48 hours) to assure everyone has time to vote and the territory being claimed will be off limits during that time.
