"The KMS Bismarck, the newest battleship from the shipyards in Northern Germany, she's my ship." Blake answered. "I'm not big on wearing my uniform whenever I'm not on-deck, which is why most people are surprised to learn that I captain one of the most powerful battleships in the world."

"Battleships." Jean says. "An old idea, recently brought back by some militaries around the world. My own included. Very interesting. I definitely knew military, but I didn't pick out navy. Living in a giant, swaying metal box for months on end in the middle of the ocean? I couldn't imagine a worse fate for anyone. That is why I, in my infinite logic, have decided to jump out of perfectly good airplanes for a living."

Jean smiles proudly. "Much safer."

Blake laughs. "Respectable choice. I'm not familiar with the French Battleship, but I know the Bismarck-Class is rather... comfortable when compared to most other ships. As for why I joined the Kriegsmarine... I just liked watching 20-inch guns blow the **** out of stuff from 10 kilometers away, I guess."

"I wouldn't have a clue how comfortable any ship is. Hate em. Never been on one, god help me, I hope I never am. As for the 20-Inch guns, that I can understand. It's a soldiers nature. Explosions are awesome." Jean shrugs. "It is what it is, we can't help it." He smiles.

The representative sees flowers gathered from locations throughout the Alliance. They are carefully maintained by first and second year cadets to help teach responsibility and versatility. You never know what the military will require of you. Even tending flowers. A pair of Republican Guards stand near the edge of the garden. Several first year cadets wander around the garden, trimming some of the plants and watering others.

The Representative notices one of the cadets trimming some planets and gains his attention.

"Hello Cadet, what are you working on there?"

"Yes." The guard answers saluting. "If you will come with me, we can be off to the academy. The ceremony is later today." The guard takes them to a transport truck and helps them all in and they set off towards the academy.

The cadet in the garden looks up, momentarily confused. "Oh, representative. It is the responsibility of first and second year cadets here at the academy to take care of the plants around the garden." The cadet smiles happily. "Today is my turn."

The Guardsman smiles. "Thank you. Half of our job in the Republican Guard is to look good, since we fill so many ceremonial roles." He nudges the F3A1 rifle on his shoulder with his elbow and smiles. "But not all ceremonial."

The truck pulls onto the academy grounds and they drive across the parade grounds and come to a stop in front of the academy building.

Nate wanders the same exact academy as yesterday, and as such, everything he sees is extremely similar to what he saw yesterday.
