Title: Prussian Victory Day
Post by: Prussia on January 05, 2016, 04:40:41 pm
In celebration of the crushing victories achieved by Prussia during the Franco-Prussian War, The Great War, and the Persian Gulf Conflict, January 5th has been declared a national holiday meant to celebrate the power, perseverance, and strength of the Germanic People. Thousands of Germans from across the Prussian territories celebrate in the streets with military parades taking place all week.

Kaiser Manfred Von Richtofen has opened up the festivities in Konigsberg to national leaders across the globe, requesting all national leaders to attend a banquet in the Imperial Palace.

The Luftwaffe is occasionally flying overhead in their newest combat jet aircraft, the ME-20.

King Wilhelm and Prince Regent Robert are greeted at the train station in downtown Konigsberg by a full lineup of Prussian Honor Guardsmen, all of them carrying the ceremonial Prussian Karabiner 98K in a standard parade rest stance.

Kaiser Manfred Von Richtofen greets the King and Prince Regent personally, his chest adorned with dozens of service medals, awards for valor, and campaign medals. He has two Knight's Iron Crosses for Valor above his heart, and a  Knight's Templar cross at the collar of his shirt. He has a broad smile on his face as he shakes the hands of the Prince and King personally.

"It is a pleasure to have the royalty of Bavaria in Konigsberg. It's truly an honor, and a day for the history books, when two German kingdoms can come together for something as sacred as a celebration of German might."

King Wilhelm of Bavaria was 5' 8" at his age of 15. He had on two medals. One was a Teutonic cross, one was a Templar cross. Although his young age, he had a stern and strong face and gave the Kaiser a strong shake.

Prince Regent Robert had on three medals. The Military Order of Max Joseph medal Kommandeurkreuz, a Templar cross medal, and a Military Merit Order medal. He was standing to the backside of King Wilhelm and gave the Kaiser a firm shake. He was sporting a ceremonial sabre and a ceremonial flintlock.

King Wilhelm was observing the Guardsmen.

"Your city is miraculous. This is my first time in Konigsberg and I intend to make the full of it. I haven't been out of Bavaria much." Wilhelm said, turning back to the Kaiser.

"I'm immensely proud of Konigsberg, it's a city 1600 years in the making." Richtofen says, smiling. "I'm actually glad you've come. I have a bit of a proposition for our two nations, But that can be discussed over a meal."

The Kaiser leads the Bavarian representatives towards a Mercedes limousine, which is escorted by three armored cars. The limousine brings the Bavarian representatives to thr Imperial Palace, past a large collection of honor guards, and into the dining hall.

The dining hall contains Prussian Military leaders, high-level members of the Reichstag, the Kaiser's own wife, daughter, and son, and a few wealthy businessmen from the Prussian states, among those businessmen being Ferdinand Porsche, Karl Benz, and the owners of various military contractors from Berlin and Cologne.

The dining hall's domed ceiling is almost completely gold and lit by four large chandeliers. The older of the Kaiser's children, a 17 year old heiress to the Throne by the name of Weiss von Richtofen, personally greets the Bavarians. "Welcome to Konigsberg." She says with a smile. "It's a pleasure to finally meet all of you." Weiss is rather tall, standing at 5'11. She has long, naturally white hair and blue eyes.

King Wilhelm held her hand and kissed the top of it, bowing slightly as he did so, then let go, straightening back up.

"It's a pleasure to meet you and be acquainted with your beautiful country," Wilhelm says, admiring the golden ceilings and observing the military leaders, looking up slightly towards her face.

Robert walked off to admire the paintings hanging on the walls.

"Weiss was actually the one who put this entire event together." Richtofen says, smiling as he places a hand on his daughter's shoulder. "She's shown quite an affinity for matters that the Kaiser would generally undertake, which is why the Bundesrat decided that she should be the heiress. My son, Hans would have been chosen if he wasn't looking to become a General."

"Well, Miss Weiss, you've done a stupendous job," Wilhelm complimented. He looked for his brother and saw him at the other end of the hall admiring a portrait of the Kaiser.

"Why, thank you." Weiss says, smiling. "Feel free to make yourself at home and enjoy the festivities."

"Weiss, I need to be in Paris by the end of the day, so you're ruling in my stead for today. The proposition will be yours to make."

"Of course, father." Weiss says as the Kaiser turns to leave. "Wilhelm, if I could speak to you and your brother?" She asks.

"Of course." Wilhelm called for his brother. His brother whipped around and strode down the dining hall towards them. He stopped by Wilhelm's side.

"I'd like to make you an offer that has been a long time coming..." Weiss says. "I'd like to propose the creation of a Germanic Union. This union would serve as a military pact, free-trade agreement, and treaty of cooperation between all Germanic nations, with all nations having equal representation within the Union."

"A union you say...let me consult," Wilhelm and Robert walked to a corner, whispering to each other. They both nodded and walked back.

"It's settled. But...I actually was going to ask you first. Because I have this." He pulled a black medal box with a gold cross in the middle. He gave it to her.

Weiss smiles and accepts the box, opening it up.

Inside was a box with a black cross with white outlines. A small circle with a red cross in the middle sat in the vector of the cross.

"Bavaria has preserved the Teutonic Order for hundreds of years after the Poles defeated them. The Teutonic Order has only two members. Robert and I. We planned to spread the Teutonic Order to the other German nations. Specifically Prussia. Our goal is to preserve German traditions and bring order and security to the world. If we are to form a union, then we are to form a council of Teutonic knights." Wilhelm explained.

"If we're Teutonic Knights, then I guess it was lucky that my father trained me in swordsmanship." Weiss joked, admiring the Teutonic Cross. "It's an honor to wear such a sacred emblem of the German people. You can consider the alliance cemented."

"Now, what of this Lesser German States? I thought that a representative or their leader would have attended. I brought two Teutonic crosses in hope of giving them to both of you." Wilhelm questioned.

Jean Luc Lefévre arrives in Konigsberg on a Franc government aircraft. Enrolled in a military academy in the Alliance, he comes decked out in his blue dress uniform topped off with his kepi. He wears several medals on his uniform, not being able to gather many while enrolled in an academy rather than deployed with a unit.

He is 17 years of age and stands at 5'11. An Alliance military standard issue sidearm hangs from his belt, and a ceremonial but practical sword hangs from his belt on his other hip.

Prince Wilhelm studied the Frenchman. Robert shook his hand silently. The Bavarians have had a strange dislike towards Frenchmen, but the two did not show it.

Lefévre gives a curt nod, feeling an odd dislike for Bavarians. He does his best not to show it, deftly stepping closer to Weiss. "Always a pleasure to meet someone as... interesting as you." He says carefully, eyeing Wilhelm's clothing.

"Mein Fraulein?" An Honor Guardsman asks, walking towards Weiss. He has a very smug expression on his face. He is Colonel Hans Landa, commander of the Prussian Honor Guards. He has a plate of food in his hand as he walks over.

"Yes?" She asks, looking to the Colonel.

"It would look as though Mister... Broseph Tito arrived in Konigsberg and has been subsequently stalled by the Foreign Minister."

"Oh... Gott sei Dank..." Weiss says under her breath. "Tell him that he's getting a rather long vacation when Father returns."

Landa smiles. "Of course Ma'am, I just felt it prudent to inform you."

"Thank you Colonel, you're dismissed." The Colonel walks away, moving to stop a very inebriated Reichstag official from starting a fight in the Palace, hand hovering over his Walther.

Weiss turns back to the conversation happening next to her, her eyes going wide at Lefévre's words. "Ach Mein Gott..." Weiss mutters to herself.

"Are you calling my culture ridiculous?" Wilhelm asked. Robert appeared soon after with a silver platter with four glasses of white wine. He gave one to all three of the others and kept one for himself.

Wilhelm took his glass, but did not hold it in the elegant way one would expect a man of royalty would.

Lefévre takes the wine with a curt smile and nod. He takes a quick sip, a small smile forming after he tastes it. "I took you for stupid when I saw your outfit. " He gestures at Wilhelm's ridiculous clothes with his wine glass. "But I did not realize you were deaf as well."

He takes another sip of his wine.

"I took your culture as a joke when I first learned of its existence. But please, this is a day of celebration. If we were to fight today, it would only add a tragic holiday for your death," He sipped his wine and looked over, seeing some wealthy party guests arrive.

Lefévre simply laughs loudly, and ruffles the little prince's hair. "My culture has existed since your culture was a bunch of squabbling tribes." He wipes his sleeve across his eyes, struggling to stop laughing. "A fight is indeed out of the question, it would not be fair to someone of your stature."

Lefévre takes another sip of his wine, finally calming down after his bout of laughter.

"Wilhelm. I believe it may be time to go," Robert suggested, putting his hand on Wilhelm's shoulder. Wilhelm nodded and put the wine glass on an end table nearby.

"Colonel Hans Landa." Landa replies, giving a theatrical bow. He gives Jean a small smile, seeing the gesture. "I'll go ensure that the others are all behaving. Enjoy the festivities." With that, he heads towards Wilhelm and Robert, catching them before they leave. "Prince Wilhelm, My sincerest apologies about what happened back there. Miss Richthofen would like to offer you the ability to stay at any hotel or estate here in Konigsberg free of charge. She still has a few requests and minor details to iron out about the proposal."

Weiss grins slightly, taking Jean's arm and leading him towards a few prominent members of the Reichstag.

The two Bavarians walk into the main hall and walked to the entrance. They walked out and stopped. Wilhelm sat on a bench outside as Robert pulled out a cigar. He put it in his mouth and lit it.

"You were stronger than him. You were intimidated into fighting, yet you resisted. Not many can do that. You showed your strength. I'm proud of you," Robert said, inhaling smoke and blowing it into the dusk air.

"He radiates the French stereotype of a toxic conversing," Wilhelm responded.

They saw the Colonel and listened to his words.

"Tell her that we shall think it over as we envision her throwing herself to that Frog." Wilhelm spat. Robert slapped him on the back of the head.

"Thank you for your hospitality and hers. We apologize for any disturbance we may have occured." Robert said apologetically.

"Worry not, Prince Robert." Landa says, grinning. "I know that the Presidential Suite of the Konigsberg State Hotel is open to foreign dignitaries. You can stay there for now, should you wish."

Landa turns to Wilhelm. "I wouldn't worry about Miss Richthofen and the 'Frog'." Landa says, shrugging. "I doubt her father would approve. As for you, I can't think of any reason why he'd disapprove of a young man of such noble, strong German blood."

But Robert is a true gentlemen. He is a gentle but hearty man with a strong personality and elegant act. I'm may be king, but I'm only an apprentice." Wilhelm sighed. "You'd be surprised at Weiss' temper." Landa said, chuckling. "Weiss' existence is stress. I've served as Kommandant of the Honor Guards long enough to know Weiss's tells... and she told a lot in those few minutes."

Weiss introduced Jean to a rather buzzed Ferdinand Porsche, who seemed very intent on sharing his schematics for a main battle tank's chassis with an 8-inch naval gun for a main cannon.

Jean tosses back the remainder of his wine, simply tossing the glass onto the nearest table. He puts arm around Weiss' waist while he takes Porsche's schematic in both hands, fascinated. He laughs loudly. "This is both utterly ridiculous and ingenious at the same time Mr. Porsche!"

Jean yanks a pen from his breast pocket, keeping his other arm around Weiss. He scribbles a phone number on the schematic. "If you need help funding this, you give me a call. I'll ensure it gets built."

Weiss let out an amused sigh. "Already making friends, I see." She joked.

"Work on your temper, Wilhelm. Let's go," Wilhelm got up and they walked to the limousine they arrived in.

Jean simply chuckles looking around for another glass of wine. "I look forward to your call Mr. Porsche!" He calls behind him, leading Weiss away.

He lowers his voice, talking to her. "I enjoy making friends. There's not point in travelling if I don't meet people and make connections." He says, giving her a wink.

He looks up again, searching the room for a glass of wine. He mumbles something about Bavarians and needing to be further intoxicated.

The Konigsberg State Hotel is one of the tallest buildings in the city, impossible to miss for miles. It appears to be constructed almost entirely out of glass, and has the symbol of Prussia flying on every corner of the building. Upon arriving, the limousine is directed into a roundabout by a valet, who opens the door for Wilhelm and his brother, leading them through the door of the hotel.

The Bavarian Royalty is led through the halls of the tower, the bellboy leading them making mindless small talk. The entirety of the tower's inside looks almost gold, the walls shimmering under the dozens of chandeliers.

"Make yourselves at home!" The bellboy says, cheerily. "Mistress Richthofen will be arriving soon, so I've heard."

Robert searches for wine in the wine cooler. Wilhelm gets out three wine glasses and their bags are brought into the room. He sifts through his and pulls out Bluetooth speakers and an iPod. He puts on classical music and walks to the window, looking outside. He let out a sigh, enjoying the sight that he could see miles from his position.

After a few more hours of celebration, Kaiser Manfred von Richthofen walks back into the Palace, finding Ferdinand Porsche even more intoxicated than he thought physically possible. He spots Landa walking around the Palace, mindlessly grinning to himself. He talks with the Kaiser for a moment, laughing.

Manfred walks into the main hall, surprised to find the French President's son with his arm wrapped around his daughter's waist. "Weiss." Manfred says, walking up behind the two.

Weiss nearly jumps out of her skin. "Oh... hello Father!" Weiss says, unconsciously distancing herself from Jean. "How was your time in Paris?"

"Excellent, as expected." Richthofen says. "We've managed to further cement relations with the Francophone Alliance. All of Eastern France has been returned to the Alliance. I had a quite pleasant time discussing the terms of the alliance with your father, as well." He said, turning to look at Jean.

Jean's smile fades a bit before his laughter brings it back. "Admittedly, I may have instigated a small argument. But then the Bavarian took it too far. He insulted my culture and threatened me, and then wisely decided to leave before my patience ran out."

Jean's chuckle fades and he checks his watch. "As I understand it Herr Kaiser, your daughter has a meeting in the same hotel I am to be staying in. Perhaps I could have your permission to escort her there?"

Richthofen sighs. "What kind of father would I be if I tried to control my daughter's every move... very well." He says. "I've got to clean up here anyways, and make sure Ferdinand didn't burn anything down with that stupid engine of his." With that, he lets out a small sigh and turns to leave, muttering something about flat armor and engine fires under his breath.

"Well... that went better than expected." Weiss said.

Weiss grins, accepting the arm. "Alright..."

Weiss leads him out to the "small" garage, filled with rather old looking Mercedes cars, even a Kubelwagen with an MG34 mounted on the back. Weiss pulls a set of keys from her pocket, pressing the unlock button a few times. A black Mercedes-AMG GT S's lights flicker, unlocking with a soft click.

Weiss motions for Jean to climb into the passenger's seat.

Jean climbs in without hesitation, grinning. "This night just gets better and better. Let us go mademoiselle!" Jean waves his arm theatrically. "I can think of nothing better to do so late at night than head to my hotel room with you." Jean bursts out laughing, unable to handle his own drunken ridiculousness.

"I probably wouldn't have said that if I was sober." He managed between bouts of laughter.

"And I would've slapped you if you were sober." Weiss joked, starting up the car. She quickly put her foot on the gas, shifting out of neutral and through the gears incredibly quickly. In a matter of ten minutes, they had covered almost all of the sparsely populated streets between the Palace and the hotel, Weiss choosing to brake a bit harder than normal to make sure Jean was still awake. She smiled as she gave the valet a nod, tossing him a valet's key to her car.

"I hope you enjoyed." Weiss said as the valet opened Jean's door. "I know that my father would probably kill me if he saw how I drive usually, so you're one of the few people to actually see me drive." She joked.

Jean stumbled out of the car, steadying himself. "I enjoyed it quite a lot." He mumbled pulling himself up straight. "Not many opportunities for joy rides at the academy." He looks at her appreciatively. "Even less with someone as beautiful as you."

He holds out his arm. "I'm going to need you to take my arm again mademoiselle. Except this time, it is so I do not fall over."

Weiss rolled her eyes, taking his arm and keeping him steady as she led the way through the door. Upon seeing her, the receptionist gave her the key to the penthouse suite, just across the hall from the Presidential Suite. Weiss stepped into the elevator, pressing the button for the 65th floor. She led him off the elevator, handing him the key to his room. "Alright, the room over there is yours." She said, pointing out the Penthouse. "I'll be just across the hall."

Imperial Palace:
"It certainly is, mein herr." The Kaiser says. "You've actually arrived at a perfect time, I had a few things I wished to discuss with you. Please, come inside." Richthofen led him into the Palace, where the festivities were still going on, even at such an hour of the night. "The Bavarian Princes were here a few hours ago, so I've already put forth the same proposition with them. I am looking to create a German Union of sorts. A defensive, economic, and political entity that will serve as a binding force for the German people."

Jean took the key from her with one hand and took her hand with the other. He theatrically bowed and kissed the back of her hand. "I expect to see you later tonight." He said. He kissed her hand again, then spun and marched off to his room, laughing his head off at himself as he went.

Wilhelm closes his book and walks to the door. He looks through the peep hole and opens it.

"Princess Richthofen! A pleasure. We've been awaiting your arrival." He said and widened the door, stepping aside for her to come in.

Robert held up his whittled object, now a beautiful German eagle, inspecting it.

"It's a pleasure to see you." Weiss says. "And it's just Weiss." She glances over towards the Eagle. "Very impressive craftsmanship."

Weiss takes a seat in one of the chairs, smiling. "Now, I've heard that the representative from the Lesser German States finally arrived and my Father is working on incorporating them into this alliance."

*Imperial Palace*
Kaiser Richthofen sighs. "This isn't an alliance in the formal respect. It will function more along the lines as a Council of German States, existing to allow for easier diplomacy between the three German States in Europe."

After a few failed attempts to force his room key into the lock, Jean manages to gain access to his room. He unbuckles his belt and tosses it, sidearm, sword, and all, onto a table. He tosses his Kepi in the general direction of the bedroom and unbuttons his tunic as he walks towards the, hopefully, fully stocked bar in the suite.

Weiss nodded. "I'd he happy to bring the crosses to my father and the Representative when I head home a bit later." She said. "Now, I have a few questions regarding the order; what exactly is its purpose, in modern times, I mean?

Weiss took the Eagle, examining it more intimately. "This is very well-made."

Jean sits on a couch in his suite, bored. He tosses back the end of his third glass of schnapps. Sighing, he stands up and goes to refill his glass, almost falling in the process. On a whim, he grabs his room key and tosses it in a pocket inside his tunic, which is hanging open. He wanders out into the hall, somehow manages to close his door behind him, and looks around blankly for a moment trying to remember where Weiss said she would be. He stares, confused, down the hall to the left, and then to the right.

Taking his best guess, he walks over to a door and pounds on it continuously with his fist, glass of schnapps in his other hand.

"Well...that's not exactly been put into thought. Robert wants it to be a solely German Union while I want it to be a German Union that puts Europe under German order through diplomatic and militaristic intervention. What do you think it should be?" Wilhelm asked.

Robert heard someone knock on the door. He walked over to it and saw the Frenchman. He locked the door.

"Leave." He walked back to his original position.

The Esterfortian Representative is met at the gates of the Imperial Palace by Honor Guardsman Colonel Hans Landa, who has a cigarette in his hand.

"I'm starting to see what you mean." Weiss agrees, helping Robert to the couch as well. "I'm still incredibly sorry, especially after what just happened."

The French VTOL, upon entering Prussian airspace, is escorted by two ME-20s and directed towards the landing pad on top of the Konigsburg State Hotel, where Colonel Landa is waiting with four Honor Guards.

"Of course, there's a few rooms available for foreign dignitaries at the Konigsburg State Hotel, downtown. I'll call ahead and notify them of your arrival." The Kaiser says. "Feel free to explore the city while you're here and enjoy the week's festivities."

The VTOL makes a quick landing, and an irritated looking man gets out. He wears a suit instead if his uniform, having just come from a meeting with civilian officials in the Alliance.

He strides over to Landa, standing at 6'3, towering over the Prussian officer.

He snaps to attention, his arm coming up in salute. "Sergent-chef Chéreau, Alliance Armée de Terre." He says.

Landa gives a quick salute with his free hand, the other holding a cigarette. "Colonel Hans Landa, Kommandant of the Prussian Honor Guards." He gives a small, cocked grin. "I'd imagine you're here for Monsieur Lefévre?"

"Oui." Chéreau responds. "I will be taking him back to the academy. His class graduates in several weeks. Clearly, I'll need to shape him up a bit better before then." Chéreau gives an almost imperceptible smile.

"I'd expect nothing less." Landa says, his smile definitely visible. "Come." Landa leads the way down the stairs, into the hotel. The single flight of stairs leads to an interesting hallway. Chéreau finds a French Military Tunic strewn on the floor, the same one that the Prussian Guards had elected to leave alone. He also finds a pair of KSK Operators standing on either end of the Penthouse Suite's door, their UMPs slung across their chests. There's a small pile of glass sitting on the floor, which a janitor is sweeping up. The door to the Penthouse is locked from the outside by a pair of magnetic locks.

Weiss is standing outside of the Presidential Suite's door, shaking her head in exasperation. "Unbelievable." She mutters to herself.

"Herr Landa!" The KSK salute, standing at attention.

"Jawhol, unlock the door." Landa says, waving with his hand.

"Of course." The KSK Operators remove the magnetic lock, then push the door open, allowing Landa and Chéreau inside.

Chéreau walks in, and he takes it all in. "Cadet Lefévre!" He shouts with the built in PA system all NCOs seem to have.

Jean practically falls on the ground, throwing himself to attention. "Sir!" He sputters, surprised to see the Sergent-chef.

"Get your god-damned cap off the ground and square your uniform away!" Chéreau orders. Lefévre sprints into the hallway, scooping up his kepi along the way. He plops it on his head, and sprints back into the room, quickly buttoning his tunic. He stops at attention in front of Chéreau. A single button on his tunic is out of place.

"Lefévre, what are you doing to my beloved academy?" Chéreau shouts. "I said square it away!"

Lefévre winces and quickly fixes the error, returning to attention. "Into the hallway! Quick march!" He orders.

Lefévre marches into the hallway, remaining at attention, and stands back to the wall waiting.

Weiss jumps as the screaming begins, followed by the sound of Landa stepping out of the room mid-rant, laughing like an idiot. As Jean runs out of the room, grabbing his uniform, all of the KSK and Honor Guards watch, dumbfounded. Landa continues grinning like an idiot when Jean stands against the wall. Landa shoots Jean an "O.K." hand signal, along with a goofy expression.

Jean's eyes are locked on the wall across from him, not acknowledging anyone. Chéreau walks calmly into the hallway. "Lefévre, you better damned well hope you graduate before I finish PTing you."

Jean's eyes widen, taking the threat quite seriously. "Sir! Cadet requesting permission to make apologies before you start PTing him, sir."

Chéreau looks at him. "You have three minutes until the VTOL leaves. If I have to wait, you will not be riding in the passenger cabin of my aircraft." With that, Chéreau turns and walks back to the roof.

Jean's posture loosens, his normal grin returning. He steps over to Weiss. "Mademoiselle." He takes her hand in both of his. "I must apologize. I was far out of line. I truly hope you will be able to forgive me, and perhaps give me a second chance." He kisses her hand. "Please, come to see me in Paris after I graduate." He looks after Chéreau. "If I graduate." He mumbles seriously. He looks back at Weiss. "I will make it up to you, and no drinking, I swear." The grin returns.

"If it's in a few weeks, I'm certainly willing to come." Weiss responds. "I need to attend a meeting between the new Socialist alliance anyways. And no alcohol, at all." She adds, very seriously.

"I'm swearing off alcohol for the time being." Jean answers in a rare moment of seriousness. A second later, it fades and the grin returns. "Oui, a few weeks. I will see you in Paris then?"

"Yes, you will." Weiss responds, nodding.

Landa guffaws. "Such an adorable couple." He walks over, ruffling Weiss' hair, earning a death-glare from the Heiress.

"Why apologize? You didn't punch me," Robert said.

"I was the one who was adamant about getting him to leave. I did cause the situation, and for that I apologize."

Jean smiles at Landa and chuckles.  then he kisses Weiss' hand again. "I will see you then mademoiselle." He winks at her, and rushes off towards the roof, not wanting to be late.

He boards the VTOL which takes off and heads back toward the Alliance.

Bertold approaches the Bavarian representative with a land trade deal. "I proposes a trade of land, this would connect the Lesser Union's two lands, and would give you a large amount of land, the Purple is what would go to us, and the blue to you.

The Prussian Empire formally accepts the creation of a Teutonic Order, and effectively places Weiss von Richthofen as representative to the Teutonic Council.
