Independence: 1901 from Britain, officially reformed only a few months ago

History: Formed in the aftermath of the massive ecological change brought upon by Celatoro, Redern formed by the remains of the local European population. The nation has suffered heavily from corruption and an inability to maintain its borders in the more rural areas of the mainland and Tasmania. The first elections have reinstated the nation as a commonwealth state and allowed the United National Party to take over. Under the UNP, the government has made peace and developed a real border, but tensions between the white population and the Aboriginal population is beginning to resurface and nationalist parties are slowly taking the stage. Particularly in relation to the genocide of Queensland Aboriginals. The next election, which will transfer Redern into full normalcy, will be extremely close and will decide the future of the developing nation.

You would think that the old Australian capital would not be your capital. I personally think that your capital would be Sydney.

Before you came on, I had this going where due to global warming, Australia was turned into a desert, so it invaded Papua New Guinea and Indonesia. After the war, Australia split up. The northern part of Australia became the United Kingdom of Celatoro, which is based off of Papua New Guinea, part of Australia, and part of Indonesia. You can come up with your own backstory on how you came to be, but in a recent role-play, I turned Australia from a desert into a grassland. I was wondering if that is what you think we should do as two Australian countries, or if you want to come up with something. Just let me know.

I've changed it so that Redern has only recently reformed after the massive ecological change, I also took your advice and changed the capital to Sydney but I think the Redern government might try and rebuild Canberra in the future. Tell me if it contradicts with any of the already done RPs or if you got any advice. Thanks for the help, I haven't done any roleplaying in two years and I'm glad to have some help getting back into the groove.
