The rep is taken to the academy's officer quarters, where all visiting dignitaries will be provided with a spare room. The rep is shown to the room. The Republican Guardsman stands by the door. He hands the rep a key. "You are free to come and go and explore the academy as you will. The ceremony will be tomorrow. I have been assigned to you for the duration of your stay to protect you and assist you should you need it."

The Kaiser climbs out of his aircraft, tossing his headgear and communication gear onto the seat. He makes his way over to the Frenchman.

The man holds out his hand to the Kaiser. "Welcome to the Alliance, Herr Kaiser." When he holds out his hand, his sidearm can be seen in a shoulder holster.
"I am Jean-Claude Vilain. I am assigned to accompany you for the duration of your stay here. Provide security and whatnot." His French accent is quite evident.

"A pleasure to meet you, Monsieur Vilan." The Kaiser says. "Forgive the outdated airframe, my family decided to commandeer my more... conventional aircraft."

Vilain laughs. "You can't go wrong with the classics, Kaiser. Come with me." Vilain nods his head towards the edge of the airfield, where an Mi-8 helicopter sits.
"You will be provided with accommodation in the officer's quarters at the academy." He explains as they walk.

The Kaiser nods, climbing into the helicopter. "I certainly hope I can meet Jean's CO. I feel like I need his autograph after that verbal ass-kicking he gave the boy in Konigsburg." The Kaiser jokes.

Vilain sits across the cargo bay from the Kaiser, smiling. "It was quite the spectacle when they returned." He chuckled. "The boy and his senior NCO were usually on the parade grounds, alone. The boy got PTed for five days straight." He recalled laughing. "The only reason it ended was because the Commandant needed Jean to finish his preparations for graduation."
The helicopter banked left, and overflew the academy, circling once before beginning its landing.

"Impressive academy." The Kaiser comments. "Quite reminiscent of the Berlin Academy." He steps off the helicopter as it lands, looking around.

"Well, in my experience, most military institutions use the same concepts. Use what works and all that." Vilain replies absently, looking at a small tablet he had retrieved from his jacket.
He leads the Kaiser into the building and to the officer's quarters. A Republican Guardsman stands outside of the Esterfortian Rep's room just down the hallway. Vilain stops and opens a door. "Here we are Kaiser." Vilain walks into the room. "These will be your accommodations. Fairly plain, but that's the military for you." Vilain puts a piece of paper on the counter in the small, but well equipped kitchen in the quarters. "Here is a phone number you can always reach me at. I have some things to attend to so I will not be able to accompany you for your entire visit. Feel free to call me if you need anything. You are free to explore the academy and the grounds freely. The ceremony is tomorrow."
Vilain's phone rings. He sighs. "Well, that means I must be going. Enjoy your stay Kaiser." Vilain walks out of the room after tossing a set of keys to the Kaiser.

The Kaiser catches the keys, looking around the small set of quarters.
The Kaiser's close family has departed from Konigsberg and will arrive tomorrow morning.

Post by: Francophone Alliance on January 14, 2016, 10:07:42 pm
They will be met upon arrival!
[You may see a pattern developing here.]
There isn't much for the Kaiser to see. A small kitchen area with an oven and a refrigerator. A counter separates the kitchen and the living room. In the living room there is a couch and a coffee table in front of a small tv. In the back of the living room is a doorway that leads to the bedroom, a rather unexciting room containing a single one person bed, a nightstand, and a dresser. The room is exactly the same as all the others in the officer's quarters area.

The Nomna official is met by a Republican Guard officer. He is taken to the officer's quarters at the academy as all others are. The guardsman, assigned to protect and accompany the official for the duration of his stay, follows a short distance behind.
Nate sees Alliance officers and cadets, as well as civilian officials, walking around the academy grounds as he walks. An Mi-8 helicopter is landed on the parade grounds. Several armored vehicles sit off to the side by a smallish stand of trees with soldiers in their combat gear standing around.

An Alliance Army truck pulls up to the landed aircraft. Out of the passenger seat hops Cadet Jean Lefévre in his full dress uniform. He takes a few steps away from the truck and stops. He stands straight, arms held behind his back, waiting. A small grin pulls at the side of his mouth. He'd gone through a hell of a lot of PT to get to today.

A group of four Prussian Honor Guardsmen climb out of the Blackhawk, one of them being Hans Landa. Behind them is a rather tall woman, standing at around 5'11. She is blonde, wears a rather casual set of clothing given the circumstances, has dark blue eyes, and seems rather... irritated by the Honor Guardsmen.
A few moments later, Weiss and her younger brother step off of the small private jet, along with their mother. Weiss is wearing her normal dress, her brother his own Konigsberg Academy Uniform, with the symbol for MS-4 Cadet (4th Year Cadet) on his coat's shoulders. Their mother is dressed immaculately in a pure-white dress, her red hair left to fall across her shoulders.
The instant that the blonde newcomer sees Weiss, a large smile crosses her face. "Weiss!" She says, running over and embracing the notably shorter girl, lifting her a few inches off the ground. The four three guardsmen from her helicopter simply rolled their eyes. "It's so good to see you again!"
"Put me down, you big oaf." Weiss says, playfully.
The blonde smiles, giving into the shorter girl's wish and setting her back down. Weiss brushes herself off, smiling as she sees Jean.

Jean's grin widens. He waves the Kaiser's family over to him. "Weiss!" He calls quite happily. "I'm glad you came!"
He simply raises his arms, waving them around grandly, indicating their surroundings. "Welcome to France." He bows theatrically at the Kaiser's family.

"Barely." He says offhandedly. "I've been doing push-ups since I left Prussia until about..." He checks his watch. "Until about an hour ago." He shrugs.
"But anyway." His smile returns. "Like I said, I'm glad you came. Who's this?" He asks indicating the blonde.

"Hey." Blake says, smiling. "Nice to meet you." She extends her hand for Jean to shake.

"Cousin slash sister." Jean wonders out loud.
Jean takes Blake's hand in both of his. He bows slightly and kisses it. "The pleasure is mine, mademoiselle."

"Her father and my uncle, Lieutenant Heinrich Volker, sadly passed away when she was six, and I was just born. He was sent to North America to help stabilize the situation after the U.S. Balkanized. Sadly, he was one of 600 Prussian soldiers who died in the peacekeeping operation."
"And my mother died in childbirth, so the Kaiser adopted me as his own." Blake finished, shrugging. "I don't carry the name Richthofen though, since I'm not technically his daughter. He insists that I carry his name, but I kept my last name to honor my dad."

"A respectable choice." Jean says, nodding his head. He looks at his watch again. "We should be going, I suppose." He walks to the back of the open top transport truck. He chuckles.
"As you can see madams, we have the most luxurious of vehicles to take you to the academy." He adjusts his uniform slightly and grins. "And the most handsome of escorts."
He hops nimbly up into the back of the truck. He offers his hand to help pull up the Kaiser's family.

Blake grins as she sees Weiss blush slightly, choosing to ruffle her hair. Weiss climbs into the truck first, followed by Blake, then Hans, then Viktoria. The Guardsmen climb in after Viktoria, with Landa sitting next to her. A wicked smile crosses Blake's face as she looks at Jean. "So you're the one that caused so much trouble for the Konigsburg guard?"
"Like you wouldn't believe, Captain." Landa says with a small grin, looking towards Jean.

Jean grimaces as he walks to just behind the cab. He smacks his hand on the roof and then the truck starts and begins driving. He drops down on the bench beside Weiss.
"I don't think I caused that much trouble." Jean says innocently, looking back and forth between Blake and Landa. He leans back against the side of the truck and casually puts his arm around Weiss.

Blake guffaws, which quickly causes a chain reaction among the guards. "Smooooooooth." Blake says in between fits of laughter.
Weiss' face blushes heavily, earning a playful shove from Blake. "C'mon Weissy, what's going on? You've usually got some snarky comeback for me, or you just call me a dolt."
"Dolt..." Weiss says, shaking her head.
"There she is." Blake says, smiling.

Jean just shakes his head, chuckling. The truck hits a particularly large bump, and Jean cracks his head off the side of the truck, which knocks his kepi off his head and off the truck. "Merde!" He shouts, grabbing his head.
"Sorry!" Comes a shout from the cab. "Stop, hold up!" Jean shouts. "I dropped by **** kepi!"
The truck quickly stops. Jean vaults over the side, and starts looking for his kepi next to the road, shouting obscenities.

"Colorful language." Viktoria comments with a smile, watching Jean disembark the truck.
"Want to go help your boyfriend, Weiss?" Blake asks, earning herself a smack on the back of the head from Weiss, and a few laughs from the guards.
"I'll go help just to get away from the incessant teasing." Weiss says, moving to get out of the truck.
"Suuuuuuuuure." Blake says, leaning against the bench with a smile, earning a glare from Weiss as she jumps down.

The string of obscenities only gets more colorful as Weiss leaves the truck. Suddenly Jean spins. "Vernier, I swear, if I don't find my kepi, you won't make it back to the graduation!"
The driver of the truck leans out of the window. He wears a dress uniform similar to Jean's. "It's not my fault you can't hang on to your ****. Find it, I don't want to be late." He goes back into the cab.
"Allez vous faire foutre!" Jean shouts before returning to looking for his kepi.

Looking at Weiss, he continues his rant. "I really will kill Vernier if I don't find it."

"AH HA!" Jean shouts. "Vernier! You live this time!" He fishes his kepi out of a bush and puts it on his head. He grins at Weiss. "Problem solved."
"Lets go!" Vernier shouts. Jean looks at Weiss and rolls his eyes. He returns to the back of the truck and waits to give Weiss a boost up.

Jean walks to the cab and hits it again. The truck starts moving again. "Vernier, lets keep the truck steady this time, eh?"
"I always tell you no to lean your head on the side, but you never listen to me." Comes the muted reply from the cab. Jean sits back down by Weiss, tossing his arm around her.
The truck continues on to the academy, Jean and Vernier intermittently bickering along the way until they arrive.

After arrival at the academy, Jean hops out of the truck, and waits to help everyone down. Vernier hops from that cab and starts walking away and Jean shouts a couple obscenities at him as he goes. Vernier simply hold an arm up in the air and gives Jean the middle finger while still walking away.
As Jean is helping Wiess down, he grins. "Vernier is my best friend, if you couldn't tell."
When Landa gets out, Jean stops him. "Colonel, I have someone who wants to meet you. A family friend, actually." Jean points across the parade ground where Vilain stands with President Lefévre and several military officers.

Now, would you like to see your rooms, or wander around, or anything else? You are free to do as you please for the duration of your stay." He looks at Weiss, grinning slightly. "And you are free to stay as long as you please."
As Landa walks up, Vilain welcomes him. "Colonel Hans Landa. My name is Jean-Claude Vilain. I have heard much about you and it's a pleasure to meet you." He holds his hand out to shake. "President Lefévre, this is Colonel Landa, an officer in the Prussian Honor Guard."
Lefévre also holds a hand out. "Nice you meet you Colonel."

Landa shakes both hands firmly, a smile on his face. "It's a pleasure to meet the both of you. I especially enjoyed that wonderful display outside of the Penthouse, Monsieur Vilan."
Blake laughs slightly at Weiss's apparent embarrassment, earning a death-glare from Weiss. "I'm glad that you find this funny." Weiss says, glaring at the blonde.
"It's magical." Blake says, a smile still on her face. "I'll just wander around, I guess."
"If you could show us to our rooms?" Viktoria asks, motioning to herself and Hans.
Title: Re: Graduation Day

Vilain looks at the president who simply nods. Vilain steps away, waving for Landa to follow. "What was that about the penthouse? I'm afraid you may have confused me with Sergent-chef Chéreau. He's the senior NCO here at the academy. He was also the one who picked up Jean from Prussia."
"If you'll follow me please" He says to Hans and Viktoria taking a step towards the academy buildings. He offers his arm to Weiss, grinning slightly. "Mademoiselle?" He asks hopefully.

Landa laughs. "My apologies, there's so many people to keep track of. My vision must've been blurred from laughing so much." Landa says with a grin. He waves his hand. "Enough about my forgetfulness, Jean said that you wished to meet me personally?"
Weiss rolls her eyes, taking his arm. Blake stifles a laugh and walks off in another direction, joined by an Honor Guardsman.
Title: Re: Graduation Day
Post by: Francophone Alliance on January 16, 2016, 12:14:58 pm
Vilain laughs. "Right." He says. "I'm from the DGSE. I'm an intelligence officer." Vilain chuckles. "Read into that what you will. In my line of work, I find it quite helpful to meet people who may be able to help me. You strike me as a good friend to have. Now, at this moment, I don't need anything from you. However, it's always good to know people. And it's also worthy of note that I always take care of my friends."
Vilain pauses for a second. "Don't read too much into my line of work. I would never insult you by trying to get you to betray your country or anything of that variety. As I said, it's just good to know people." Vilain smiles, fully expecting what he's said to sound somewhat ridiculous.
Jean leads the Kaiser's family into the buildings and towards the officer's quarters. He leans down closer to Weiss. "You know, everything I say to you, I say quite seriously. With that being said, I still find all of this as hilarious as Blake does." He chuckles as he leads them into the hallway where visiting dignitaries are staying. Several Republican Guardsmen stand outside of several of the rooms.

Landa smiles. "Well, I'm flattered that you deem me a valuable asset." Landa says. "Should the Kaiser ever allow me... I'd be more than happy to help you."
"I'm glad that you and Blake find my embarrassment funny." Weiss stated, sarcastically.
Title: Re: Graduation Day

Vilain laughs. "I've never had anyone see it that way before and then thank me. You're welcome, I suppose. It is my hope that nothing I ever ask of you will give the Kaiser pause. As I have said, I have no wish to push your loyalties in any way."
Jean laughs. He points to the Kaiser's room. "Miss, I assume you would like to stay with the Kaiser. There is his room. And Hans." He points to the room directly across from the Kaiser's, a Republican Guardsman stands next to it. "That one will be yours."
Jean looks back to Weiss. "Don't take it like that. Admittedly, I do find it very funny. Mostly because you have no reason to be embarrassed. You've had quite a respectable, and if I do say so myself, handsome young man take an interest in you. What's to be embarrassing about?" He asks innocently.

"Perhaps having that 'respectable' young man punch the Bavarian Prince, knocking him out cold." Weiss said, giving a look of amusement.

Jean sighs. "I do wish you would stop mentioning that. I regret it and I've sworn off alcohol." He grins slightly. "I also notice you chose not to comment on my being handsome." He chuckles. "Still doesn't explain your embarrassment, after all, the Bavarians aren't here."
He steps over to the room next to Hans' room. He unlocks it and then hands her the key. "This one will be yours. The complimentary Republican Guardsman should be here shortly. They're a bit overwhelmed by the number of people who actually took my father up on his invitation." Jean steps back from the door.

"Thank you, Jean." Weiss says, taking the key. "If you don't mind, I'm going to go rest for a bit. I'll catch up with you in a little while." With that, Weiss stepped into her room and closed the door.

Jean, having several inches and at least 20 lbs on the smaller woman, laughs at the threat. "I'm going to have to take that threat pretty seriously. You're military after all. I vaguely remember someone calling you Captain. And you carry yourself like a soldier." Jean smiles and leans against the wall.
"I spend too much time with Vilain, damn spooks. You start noticing things after a while." He shrugs. "So what do you do for the Prussian military then?"

"The KMS Bismarck, the newest battleship from the shipyards in Northern Germany, she's my ship." Blake answered. "I'm not big on wearing my uniform whenever I'm not on-deck, which is why most people are surprised to learn that I captain one of the most powerful battleships in the world."

"Battleships." Jean says. "An old idea, recently brought back by some militaries around the world. My own included. Very interesting. I definitely knew military, but I didn't pick out navy. Living in a giant, swaying metal box for months on end in the middle of the ocean? I couldn't imagine a worse fate for anyone. That is why I, in my infinite logic, have decided to jump out of perfectly good airplanes for a living."
Jean smiles proudly. "Much safer."

Blake laughs. "Respectable choice. I'm not familiar with the French Battleship, but I know the Bismarck-Class is rather... comfortable when compared to most other ships. As for why I joined the Kriegsmarine... I just liked watching 20-inch guns blow the **** out of stuff from 10 kilometers away, I guess."

"I wouldn't have a clue how comfortable any ship is. Hate em. Never been on one, god help me, I hope I never am. As for the 20-Inch guns, that I can understand. It's a soldiers nature. Explosions are awesome." Jean shrugs. "It is what it is, we can't help it." He smiles.
The representative sees flowers gathered from locations throughout the Alliance. They are carefully maintained by first and second year cadets to help teach responsibility and versatility. You never know what the military will require of you. Even tending flowers. A pair of Republican Guards stand near the edge of the garden. Several first year cadets wander around the garden, trimming some of the plants and watering others.

An announcement is made throughout the Academy ground, declaring that preparations for the ceremony are nearly finished and that all who are attending should report to the parade grounds. The ceremony will be beginning relatively soon.

After the academy's commandant finished his speech, the actual graduation began. Each cadet walked across the stage to meet the commandant. He shook their hands and then had them kneel, where he touched his sword to both of their shoulders. Similar to knighting performed in some nations, but with a different meaning. After that, the cadet stands, salutes the commandant and moves on to the senior NCO a few feet away. After a salute, the NCO pins the bars of a Sous-lieutenant on the cadet's uniform.
After that, the cadets are no longer cadets, but officers in the Alliance military. In a weeks time, all of them will be with their units, serving their country.
In less than an hour, the ceremony has been performed for the entire graduating class. A short few words are said by the commandant, and the ceremony is concluded. The former cadets, relieved from duty for the next week, all toss their kepis in the air. Moments later, they all hurry to retrieve them amid shouts from Sergent-chef Chéreau about respecting the uniform. The cadets disperse into the crowd and around the academy to talk to friends and family and to gather personal belongings since they will not be at the academy much longer.
Jean Lefévre walks off stage and walks over to his father and Prince Robert. His father hugs him and congratulates him, before directing him to the Prince, who apparently had a gift for him. Jean simply looks to the prince, a curious expression on his face.

"I agree." The President stands. "We are agreed then." He holds out his hand. "I assume a handshake among friends will be enough until something more official can be drawn up and signed."
Once Jean arrives in his room, he begins packing his things. He doesn't have much: a few spare uniforms, a dress uniform, and some books. He dumps them all in a dufflebag. He looks down at his academy dress uniform. "I look ridiculous." He flicks the feather on his kepi. "I hate this uniform. I need to make a trip to Paris before we're off to Brazil. I assume you will need to make a trip home as well?"

Nate is still siting at the parade grounds for who know what reason. He gets up not shocked about what happen but amused of why he was seating still. He gets up and heads to the airport.

"Consider it done." The kaiser says, smiling as he shakes the President's hand.
Weiss nods. "Sure, you can come to Berlin if you'd like, we could leave from there."

"Excellent. I'm glad we could work this out." The President stands from the commandant's desk and walks around. "That is all I wished to discuss. Unless you have something else, you are free to leave now. Or stay if you wish. You are welcome here."
"Great!" Jean tosses his arm around her, a bloody smile on his face.

The Kaiser receives a call on his phone, which he quickly answers. His face goes from rather content, to pale, to completely enraged in the span of a short few seconds. He speaks to the other end of the line in rapid-fire German, almost barking orders at the other end of the phone. "Mobilisieren die Flotten, bekommen die Armee in Bewegung, ich will dass kleine Nation ausgelöscht."
The Kaiser hangs up the phone, turning to the French President. "Celatoro just declared war on Prussia, The Belkan States, and the Greater Roman Republic. This is not exactly what I was expecting to see today..."
Weiss sighs. "Can you please clean your mouth out?"

The President just sighs. "I am having an excellent day today. I have multiple treaty obligations pulling me into this war. I will have tp have troops deployed within the hour. I'm sure you have a lot to attend to Kaiser."
Jean laughs. "No, actually, I can't. I have nothing to clean it out with."

"Do you have a sink?" Weiss asks, smiling. She looks down at her phone, her face going pale. "Prussia is at war..."
"I need to get the War Machine moving." The Kaiser says, sighing. "Best of luck to you, Mister President."

Jean pauses for a moment. "Well that puts a damper on our vacation."
"And to you Herr Kaiser. Let us hope we can end this quickly."
